Gene walked around, noting all the sounds around him. He could hear birds, and faint sounds of machineguns in the distance. He saw several troopers walking towards him, and waved. "Hello? Are you with Easy Company?"

Speirs looked around the empty room, checked the drawers and finding nothing, he walked upstairs, gun in his hand. Opening the door, he smiled, when his sight fell on two silver candlesticks standing near the fireplace. He placed them on the table and stopped by the library. Pulling one book out, he flipped through the pages, when he heard something. He turned around, pointing his gun at the door and sighed, when a man appeared in the doorway.

Wayne never felt this cold and numb in his life, even though he lived in the mining ranges of West Virginia, where winter blizzards were usual and never mild. But this, this beat out those cold nights and blistering snow storms. He blew viciously into his bare hands to put some feeling back into them. His helmet felt like it had frozen itself onto his head-because of the sweat he produced from digging the foxhole he was now sitting in- and couldn't feel anything past his groin, except for tingling pain.

That's good, he thought, at least I can feel somethin'.

Wayne sighed and repositioned his M1 against his shoulder as he stared blankly at his comrades dug their own foxholes. He'd help; he just needed a minute to let everything sink in. Krauts broke in, drove some other bullshit regiment back, now his buddies had to go and save the day-again.

Seems to be a pattern, he thought sardonically, a small smile filtered onto his lips.

Where: In A Pub In Aldbourne
When: Set during 'Replacements'

Lewis Nixon sat in a pub, nursing a glass of whiskey and watching a few of the men play a game of darts. It had been a long time since any of them had a chance to enjoy a bit of freedom, so to speak, away from the marching and the death and destruction. His jump into Normandy had gone off rather smooth and not even firing a single shot. But of course if it had not been for his good friend Dick Winters and him stumbling upon that map of the German lines none of them would be alive. He was snapped out of his thoughts when cheering came from the dart board, he grinned and took another drink.

Episode - The Last Patrol
Timing - Arriving into Haguenau

Eugene's whole body moved with the transport that carried the worn and tired men. The sky was as gray as the expressions of each of the men. Sargent Malarkey and Liebgott rode with him, neither with a large amount of liveliness as they entered the town.

Jackson had been wide eyed and excited to join Easy Company a few months back, but found quickly that serving his country wasn't all heroes and glory. The time spent in the cold of Bastogne had taken a toll on his drive to fight. All he wanted to do was to get home now.
29 May 2008 @ 09:04 pm
Malarkey walked by Tab with a solem look on his face, but then again it seemed like everyone was emotionless at this point.  They had just survived the D-Day jump. They were in Normandy and now it was just a matter of time till they would find out who had made it and who was lost.

Joe Toye looked over at him when Malarkey let his body fall down next to his, "Hey Malark, wheres the best chow?" The expression on Malarkey's face never shifted, never even seem to have acknowledge Joe's comment, "In Berlin."

Seeing that his joke had failed and had no affect on Malarkey, Joe looked away.

Tab had watched all this having no idea what Malarkey had just witnessed. Although jokes just didn't seem to work here. Nothing could lift the weight in the air from the night before. They had all just entered war for the first time in their lives. Most were unsure how they had even survived the jump into enemy territory.

Tab just brushed his hand through his hair and sighed. None of them knew what lay ahead and from the sound of it, they wouldn't be sitting around for much longer.

**OOC NOTE: OK, yes I KNOW Tab wasn't here actually but for some reason, although he is a member of CoH, LJ won't let me start a thread as Toye who I was originally going to post under, so I resorted to Tab. Forgive me for my inaccurate posting!!**

When: After the Crossroads battle
Why: Cause Nix said so...
Who: Anybody is welcome... I miss youse guys lol

Lewis Nixon has just finished his report, handed it to Colonel Sink, had endured about a half and hour lecture on something that Nixon really had no interest in. Countless bodies were strewn across the field, the injured were evacuated behind the lines. He sat with his head in his hands trying not to think about the paperwork, or the injured or the explosions that he witnessed through his binoculars. He sat back against a mound of dirt and pulled out his pack of Lucky Strikes, lighting a cigarette and pocketing the rest.

When: "April 1st"
Where: Arnhem, Holland

Floyd had gotten comfy in Holland. They had actual beds to sleep in, kind people who loved and adored them...and yet they had to keep moving. This killed everyone's mood.

It was one of the few nights they'd have a roof over their heads and it was a barn, but it would do for these men who'd take anything over the bare ground. Unlatching the heavier pieces of his gear, Tab faced the wall where he spotted a calendar. Since jumping into Holland he'd lost track of the days. It had to be towards the end of March.

A slight smirk slid across his face. He had an idea to lighten some moods. No one would know the difference since they didn't know the date either. He just had to pick a victim.

((OOC: Sorry I've been gone so long guys! ...and that this idea is a day or 2 late!!))

When: The evening after Easy took the town of Foy
Where: Provisional HQ post of Easy Co.
Who would guess, how today could change everything? Well, Ron knew, that Dike was going to fuck it up - he has been observing Easy and its former CO for a while to anticipate it. He WAS prepared to take over, because in the war, you always have to be ready for sudden emergency like this. Nevertheless, Dike is out and it's clear, what is going to happen. He will be assigned as Easy's CO, as soon as Winters gets it approved. Before that, Ron shouldn't be wasting time. He needs to learn as much as he can about his new company, although it is not official yet. Ron is about to go out to check on his men and find one of the sergeants, when he almost bumps into somebody.

Gene wandered among the foxholes, stopping every so often to chat with guys.

"Have any of yo' guys seen Dike around? He needs to get back here an' actually lead us. Our line is spread way too thin. I went out to the OP an' I saw Krauts staring back at me from about 20 feet away."
